|All Africa Poker Here Tomorrow!|
As always, the line up of participants is tough with the likes of Ray Rahme, Ryan Brauer, Nicolas Zakhem, Jarred Soloman and Darren Kramer all taking part.
There are 8 spaces still available, so if you do fancy vying for a piece of the very large R3,500,000 pie, then you still have the chance. All eyes will be on this tournament, particularly after the success of Team All Africa at the World Series of Poker earlier in the year. The tournament runs from 20 - 23rd August and the winner of the event will walk away with R1,000,000. Not bad for 3 days work!
Let’s take a closer look at the popular faces of poker that will be taking part:
Ray Rahme is currently ranked at no 2 in South Africa. His credentials include a 3rd place finish at the WSOP in 2008 having won a seat by winning the All Africa Poker tournament earlier that same year.
Ryan Brauer is ranked no 5 and was runner up at the February All Africa Poker tournament in 2007. He finished in 500th place at this years WSOP and is the defending champion of the Emperors Palace R1 million heads up challenge and overall champion of the Emerald Poker Series held this year.
Nicolas Zakhem is ranked at 24 and will be defending his title of champion of this All Africa event. He also came 7th at the Lebanese Poker Championship held a few months ago.
Jarred Solomon is ranked 85 and despite making the final table of the All Africa tournament, has not managed yet to claim the title. Perhaps this tournament will be his time? He won the $1,000 H.O.R.S.E event at the Aussie Millions this year.
And finally, Darren Kramer, ranked number 6. He won this event in August last year and also won the South Africa Poker Open held last year. A very tough player who will no doubt provide a top performance.
Good luck to all the players and we will of course be monitoring all the action as play unfolds.
