I've got this book that gives me step by step instructions on how to win the majority of the time at poker. But I'm NOT winning the majority of the time! My bank roll is dwindling and I really don't want to go broke. Is it really possible to win consistently at poker, or am I just a bad player?

Lol, it can be done. If it was easy though then a. everyone would be an expert and b. it wouldn't be fun. My advice is to keep practicing, read as much as you can and never give up!

You could try some cash games maybe too. That might be better because you can just keep rebuying so you don't really 'lose' as such.
