i've just been reading "Zen and the Art of Poker". It is useful to prepare you for the unavoidable bad beats, swings and frustrating times that you'll encounter throughout your poker career.

Although not a manual as such, it's really useful for helping you to stay focused on your game and not let emotion consume you and dictate your play.

Easier said than done though when you've just been defeated yet again my someone who shouldn't have been in the hand and got lucky on the river.

This is the first time I ever heard of this book. In fact I don't even know that book about poker ever existed.
