Hey there guys,

I'm quite new to VATSIM. I have spent some time on ground listening to the flow of ATC communications before and have done one VFR flight a while back just to get the feel of a few things. I'm currently en-route from KLAS to KDFW in a Qantas Boeing 737-800 - wether Qantas flies this route or not, I don't know.

I left KLAS and flew the correct DP and I'm now in the en-route phase. Back at KLAS, there was no ATC available, and if I'm correct, there's currently no ATC available at KDFW either. So, I know I should state my intentions, but I didn't do so because I saw no available ATC and had no idea what frequency to use, and neither did I find anyone on the chat. Now that I'm thinking about it though, I'm guessing I should've tuned to the frequency which the airport diagram would contain so I can state my intentions?
