I've got a few questions regarding the relationship between VATSIM and FSX. Please forgive me if this has been asked before. With regards to VATSIM and FSX, obviously you have to file a flight plan in VATSIM and send it to the tower, but do you have to file a flight plan in FSX also ? I guess the progressive taxi option is out also ? If I do file the exact same flight plan in FSX, do I just turn the ATC option in FSX off ? Before using VATSIM, I would use flight planner to file an IFR flight plan and the GPS would show the route and highlight waypoint to waypoint. Does it still work that way with VATSIM ? Thanks.
