The online gambling landscape in South Africa has been an international talking point for many years. South Africa was considered a front-runner for offering offshore online gamblinGpanies licenses in a economically stable environment, with a legal system that would be considered suitable by an international audience. Unfortunately however South Africa is still in a state of flux as far as online gambling laws are concerned. The same cannot be said however as far as players are concerned! South Africa has seen rapid growth in online poker over the past few years, and this trend is showing no sign of slowing down.

With more and more entrants into the African Poker Tournaments, and South African players making a name for themselves on the international poker circuit, South African poker is beginning to secure itself a regular place at the table! So although the Government is yet to take a final vote on the regulation of the industry, South African poker is beginning to take on a life of its own!
