 This year the young pro has seen an incredible run and not only won two bracelets at the World Series of Poker this summer, but has also just taken down The Legends of Poker Championship and walked away with over $1,000,000 in his back pocket!
In the WSOP earlier in the year, Phan took bracelets in both the $3,000 No Limit Hold ‘em event where he won $439k and the $5,000 2-7 Triple Draw event in which along with the bracelet he took $151k in prize money. These, coupled with his most recent triumph equals a lot of money for Phan.
The Legends of Poker was by no means an easy feat. With a truly formidable field of players including Lathy Liebert, Gabe Kaplan, Daniel Negreanu, Erik Seidel and Mark Seif, the competition was tough. Previous champions of this event have been Doyle Brunson and Dan Harrington, and no doubt Phan will be delighted and honoured to have his name placed alongside these poker legends.
