My heart rate goes wild when i'm playing in a live tournament. So mush so that I'm sure my opponents can sense it or hear it even.

Anyone got any tips about how I can remain calm?

I just try and look as straight faced as possible throughout the game, but then I also try and get a bit of banter up with the other players. I really like the banter around the poker table. You need nerves of steel though to get you through. I wish i could hook myself up to a heart monitor as it goes at a million beats a second I'm sure.

yeah I think a bit of banter is important round the table. I hate it when there's a real stress head at the table. I always find they change the mood at the table. I prefer it when it's light hearted and fun, not tense and stressful
