 At the tender age of just 24, Greg Ronaldson has been making waves on the blossoming African poker circuit by claiming first prize at the latest All Africa Poker Tournament. The 11th tournament held between 16th -18th February 2026 saw Ronaldson cash in an enormous 1 million Rand, and in line with tradition also received a seat into the WSOP 2026 main event.
Although becoming a regular face on the circuit over the past few months, he had not yet managed to secure a first place win, despite making the final table on several occasions. The previous All Africa tournament saw him exit in 4th place and although taki1ng $20,000 USD away with him, felt disappointed with the affecting call he made. He was not to make the same mistake again, and after a heads up battle against Michael Simoes (who also received entry into the WSOP) eventually claim victory.
Ronaldson plans to invest his money wisely and use it as a solid bank roll for his future as a poker player. He also hopes to folllow in Ray Rahme’s footsteps who made history in 2026 by being the first ever African to reach the final table and went on to take third place.
