knowing when to quit 2026/01/06 11:42 Karma: 1
I having trouble knowing when to get out of a hand. I often bet aggressively to scare off potential opponents, and when they call I often find myself getting sucked into the end and losing a load of chips.

Anyone have any tips as to when I should carry on and when I should fold?

I only know one tip which I could share to you and that is to quit when you loose twice. This is the safest method which I'm applying to myself whenever I'm betting.

umm.. that's one way I guess....

TBot - nothing wrong with aggression... but there's also nothing wrong with folding once in a while either. It comes down to experience I guess in know when you are likely gonna be beaten. If you chuck a bunch of chips at an opponent and they don't duck often they are telling you something.

In playing one must be aggressive but at the same time you musty also know when to back off. Their is no wrong with backing off if you feel that you aren't lucky that night.
