The Royal Swazi Rumble is a relatively new tournament that is part of the Ace High Poker network in South Africa. The first event was held earlier this year (February 2026 to be precise), and in February we shall see it be back due to the success of the event and popular demand!
The February Swazi Rumble is to be a R10 000 freeze out tournament as was the February tournament and will run from 4th to 6th February at the Royal Swazi Spa Hotel and Casino in Swaziland. There is a special weekend accommodation package for 2 people that includes breakfasts, snacks and a buffet dinner on Saturday. All this (plus a hotel room of course) for just R2 000.
The February tournament was a huge success and saw a total of 103 players around the tables. The prize pool generated from these players was a massive R997 000. Play was tough with some of the most successful South African poker players battling it out for the huge first prize. In the end the winners and their prizes were as follows:
Clinton Nourse - R309 000
2
Muaaz Gani - R209 000

WIth poker on the rise in South Africa this tournament is likely to be here to stay. There are satellites that are due to be scheduled in the run up to this tournament too. More information will follow on these. Well done to the winners of the February event, and good luck to those ready to hit the green felt in February. |
